Utah Golf Foundation Mission & Purpose

The Utah Golf Foundation (UGF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to financially supporting programs expanding opportunity and access to those who wish to play the game of golf in Utah.

Veterans on Course (VOC) and Youth on Course (YOC) Utah are the UGF's two flagship programs.

Veterans on Course was started by the UGF in 2016 as a pilot program to provide free instruction and playing opportunities to military personnel of active or veteran status. Each event consists of an educational session with PGA Professionals, a nine-hole scramble tournament, and an after-play social with lunch or dinner. The 2026 season includes 10 events, nine throughout Northern Utah and one in Southern Utah at Copper Rock.

Youth on Course Utah offers junior members ages 6-18 subsidized rounds of golf at 2,000+ courses around the country and 34 courses in Utah for $5 or less for nine holes. During the 2025 season, YOC Utah included nearly 9,000 Utah members who played more than 30,000 rounds of golf, and the Utah Golf Foundation subsidized its 30+ participating facilities upwards of $150,000.
