2019 Veterans on Course Kicks off at Topgolf
SALT LAKE CITY—Topgolf Salt Lake City was kind enough to host the 2019 Veterans on Course season kick-off event. Seventy-five veterans and active military personnel from around Utah attended to gear up for the golf season and “broke the ice” as they socialized with one another. The event included many returning VOC participants as well as new attendees who just learned of the program.
Rather than including the usual lessons and nine-hole scramble tournament, VOC at Topgolf included two hours of play and a delicious Topgolf fajita dinner with a guest speaker, retired US Army veteran, former legislator, and former attorney Roger Livingston.

During the after-play dinner, the following Veterans on Course participants were awarded for their impressive Topgolf game points:
Top Individuals
1st Place (260 Pts.) – Cory Moon
2nd Place (203 pts.) – August Koenig
3rd Place (199 pts.) – Craig Sorensen
4th Place (175 pts.) – Ed Shipley
Longest Drives
1st Place (218 yds.) – Jason Moffat
2nd Place (217 yds.) – Jeff Garrison

The 2019 Veterans on Course schedule includes 13 events, including 12 events throughout Northern Utah and one event in Southern Utah at Entrada at Snow Canyon Country Club. Additionally, the UGF is communicating with the Veterans Business Resource Center of Utah regarding organizing a women’s Veterans on Course event in 2019.

The Utah Golf Foundation greatly appreciates the participation and support of all attendees. Thank you to Topgolf Salt Lake City for hosting the event, and, to all veterans and active military who attended the event, thank you for your service to our great country. We look forward to seeing you throughout the 2019 Veterans on Course season.
