Utah Golf Foundation Mission & Purpose
The Utah Golf Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to financially supporting programs expanding opportunity and access to those who wish to play the game of golf in Utah.
Youth on Course (YOC) and Veterans on Course (VOC) are the UGF's two flagship programs.
During the 2018 season, Utah YOC reached more than 3,600 junior golfers who played 20,060 rounds of golf at 31 participating facilities in Utah. The Utah Golf Foundation subsidized $124,000 in green fees.
VOC was started in 2016 as a pilot program to provide instruction and playing opportunities to military personnel of active or veteran status free of charge. Each event consists of an hour of lessons with PGA Professionals, a nine-hole scramble tournament, and dinner with awards and a guest speaker. The 2018 season included 10 events, nine throughout Northern Utah and one in Southern Utah.
